Pablo FitzGerald started his studies of classical guitar at the age of five, firstly at the Escuela de M\u00fasica Creativa, and from the age of seven at the Conservatorio Profesional de Arturo Soria (Madrid).<\/p>\n\n\n

He soon develops and interest and sensibility towards Renaissance and Baroque repertoire, and after obtaining the \u2018Grado Medio\u2019 diploma of classical guitar, he starts his studies of early plucked instruments and the same conservatoire, with Jes\u00fas S\u00e1nchez. Since then, he has attended many early music courses, receiving masterclasses from the likes of Paul O\u2019Dette, Ariel Abramovich, Juan Carlos de Mulder, Eduardo Eg\u00fcez, Pablo M\u00e1rquez or Hopkinson Smith. In September 2017 e moved to Basel, Switzerland, to study with Hopkinson Smith at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis, graduating in 2020 with the highest honours. He then continued his Master studies with Eduardo Eg\u00fcez at the Z\u00fcrcher Hochschule der K\u00fcnste.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He regularly plays in renowned orchestras and ensembles in Switzerland (Ensemble Los Elementos, Ensemble Sonorit\u00e0, La Cetra Barockorchestra) the UK (The English Concert, Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment, Ensemble Marsyas) Ireland (Irish Baroque Orchestra) Spain (Vespres d\u2019Arnadi, La Guirlande, Cantor\u00eda) Germany (AKAMUS, Balthasar-Neumann Ensemble, Freiburger Barockorchester) France (Ensemble I Gemelli) or Italy (Il Pomo d’Oro) performing in venues in Europe, USA, Canada or India. He has participated in recordings for labels such as Glossa, Linn Records, Orpheus Musica, Vanitas, Ars Produktions, amongst others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He is also a graduate from Universidad Complutense de Madrid in Musicology (Bachelor and Masters) with his end of studies projects being: \u2018Laments in the early operas of Francesco Cavalli\u2019 (2016) and \u2018Decio y Eraclea<\/em>: critical edition of an anonymous opera of 1708 kept at the National Library of Spain\u2019 (2017). <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
